Peter Flanagan-Hyde

Peter Flanagan-Hyde is an educational leader and curriculum designer at Phoenix Country Day School in Paradise Valley, AZ, where he is Dean of Faculty.  Peter’s administrative responsibilities include coordinating the curriculum for grades preK – 12, faculty development, and student scheduling.  His love for the classroom has led him to teach a wide range of classes in mathematics, statistics, physics, environmental science, and technology in education.  Peter has conducted numerous Workshops and Summer Institutes in Statistics, presented at a variety of conferences throughout the U.S., and authored several sets of student activities.  He is a College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Reader/Table Leader.  Peter has been active in Phoenix Country Day School’s diversity efforts as a founding member of the SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) faculty seminar since 1992 and a member of the All School Diversity committee.  Peter holds a B.A. from Williams College, Williamstown, MA, and an M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University, New York City.  Peter has lived in Arizona for 21 years and is committed to building community capacity through respectful dialogue.
